We respect your privacy and handle your information responsibly. This Policy explains what we collect, how we use it, how we share it, and the choices you have. By using matchloop.net, you agree to this Policy.

This document is informational, not legal advice. Privacy laws vary by location—consult counsel for specific obligations.

1) Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Contact form or email: name, email address, message content.
  • Newsletter sign-ups: name, email.
  • Comments, surveys, or downloads (if enabled).

Information collected automatically

  • Device/usage data: IP address, approximate location (city/country), browser type/version, OS, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, and similar metrics collected via cookies, pixels, and local storage.

Information from third parties

  • Analytics providers (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Advertising partners (e.g., Google AdSense) for ad delivery/measurement and fraud prevention.
  • Email/form processors that route your messages to us.

We do not intentionally collect sensitive personal data.

2) How we use information

  • Operate and improve the site, features, and content.
  • Respond to inquiries and support requests.
  • Send newsletters or resources you opt into (unsubscribe anytime).
  • Analyze traffic and performance (analytics).
  • Serve and measure ads and help prevent fraud/abuse (advertising).
  • Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

Legal bases (EEA/UK): consent, contract (e.g., sending requested content), legitimate interests (site security, analytics, non-intrusive marketing), and legal obligation.

3) Cookies & similar technologies

We use cookies, pixels, and local storage to make the site function, remember preferences, analyze traffic, and support advertising.

Types of cookies

  • Essential: security, performance, consent records.
  • Preferences: remember settings (e.g., theme).
  • Analytics: understand usage and improve content.
  • Advertising: ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and—where you consent—personalization.

Manage cookies via the Cookie Settings link in our footer and your browser controls.

4) Advertising (Google AdSense)

We display advertising via Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to:

  • deliver and measure ads,
  • detect fraud and abuse, and
  • personalize ads if you consent (EEA/UK) or where permitted by law.

Your ad choices

5) Analytics

We may use Google Analytics (or similar) to collect aggregated usage statistics. These services set cookies to help us understand how visitors use the site. You can opt out of Google Analytics with the browser add-on: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout

6) Email & forms

If you submit a contact form or subscribe to emails:

  • We process your message to reply and maintain records as needed.
  • Email service providers and form processors act as data processors on our behalf.

We do not sell your email address or messages.

7) How we share information

We share data only as needed to run the site and comply with law:

  • Service providers/processors: hosting/CDN, analytics, email delivery, form processing, security, advertising partners.
  • Legal/disclosure: to comply with lawful requests or protect rights, safety, and security.
  • Business transfers: in a merger, acquisition, or similar event, information may transfer under the same privacy commitments.

We do not sell personal information for money. Some US state laws may classify certain ad/analytics uses as a “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context advertising—see Your rights for opt-out.

8) International data transfers

We may process data on servers outside your state or country (e.g., US/EU). When data is transferred internationally, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or equivalent mechanisms offered by our providers.

9) Data retention

We keep personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes above:

  • Contact messages: typically 24 months.
  • Newsletter data: until you unsubscribe or request deletion.
  • Analytics/ads data: per provider defaults or until you clear cookies/withdraw consent.
  • Legal/business records: as required by law.

10) Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures (HTTPS, access controls, least-privilege). No method is 100% secure; use caution when sharing information online.

11) Your choices & controls

  • Consent/Cookies: Use our Cookie Settings (footer) to change preferences anytime.
  • Browser controls: Block/delete cookies and set privacy preferences.
  • Email: Click Unsubscribe in any newsletter.
  • Ads: Use the AdChoices links above to opt out of interest-based advertising.
  • Do Not Track: We do not currently respond to DNT signals due to non-uniform standards.

12) Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights such as:

EEA/UK (GDPR)

  • Access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection (including to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing).
  • Withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior processing.
  • Lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.

US state privacy laws (e.g., CA/VA/CO/CT/UT)

  • Right to know/access, correct, delete certain information, and obtain a portable copy.
  • Right to opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to limit use/disclosure of sensitive personal information (we don’t intentionally process SPI).
